The Doghouse 2nd Folk Festival - 15th May 2025

The Doghouse Micropub and Vinyl Bar  at Evegate Smeeth, Ashford, held their second Folk Festival on Sunday 4 May and this year chose the Kent Kidney Patients Association - KKPA as their nominated charity.

Keith Peverley who plays with the band Endless Knot  is a regular at The Doghouse where the landlords Duncan and Claire have got to know him and wanted to help raise awareness of Kidney Disease. Keith has kidney failure and is due to start dialysis very soon and is in need of a transplant.

KKPA members went along on the day to the festival to meet up with the organisers and enjoyed the music. The musicians on the day had all given their time for free and £300.00 was raised for the charity.

KKPA would like to thank all those involved for their generosity and to Keith who is raising awareness of kidney disease.
