Until next month, Stay Safe, Stay Well & Keep Smiling!
If you would like to join us again in June, please let Sharon know (firstname.lastname@example.org), as she will need to know your email address in order to send you the link you will need to gain access to the meeting.
Could we ask you to please download the Zoom App, if you haven't already done so - It's Free!! If you need some assistance downloading this App, please contact us via Facebook (@KentKidneyPatients) or send an email to:
All Welcome. Please do come and join us.
The group is open to all patients known to EKHUFT Renal Services and their families, friends & carers.
It is an opportunity for individuals to have a voice, be able to share experiences in a safe environment and build a network of support.
We had a great meeting at the Ditton Community Centre on 4th March 2020 with 19 people attending, including guests from the Dartford Kidney Patients Group interested in building up their own Support Network. A variety of topics were discussed & the feedback has been very positive.
You can view the Minutes here:
Thank you to ALL who attended.
Hear what members have to say...
"these are very supportive events for patients & partners. Try attending just to see if it works for you"
"in the meetings you have a laugh, discuss various topics and learn new ideas"
"it helps you to make decisions about what treatment you will receive in the future with a positive attitude....Hearing from other people"
"when I leave meetings I feel very positive as it is easy to forget that there is always help available for whatever problem you may encounter on your journey"
"talking to people with the same thing really helps"
Following on from our 1st Virtual KKCSG Webinar, we are looking into holding regular KKPA Social Events (Quiz/Bingo) using the Zoom platform. All Events will be posted here & on our MeetUp Page. If you are interested in participating, click on the Logo above to join us and be the first to know when new Meetups are scheduled.
Although the Government message has changed:
#StayAlert #ControlTheVirus #SaveLives
it is still vitally important that we adhere to the Social Distancing protocols: Maintain the 2m Rule, continue to wash our hands often & when we get home, avoid touching our faces & catch coughs & sneezes in a tissue & discard immedialtey.
The Association owns and manages two holiday caravans at the Haven Holidays site, Combe Haven, Hastings for use by our members.
To apply for a week or weekend stay at one of these caravans please contact:
Sue on 01233 502050.
The Caravans are CLOSED until further notice in the interest of Public Health & Safety.
Unfortunately, we are unable to accept any pets in the caravans, as we have a duty of care to maintain high standards of hygiene at all times, as many visitors to the caravans have allergies, compromised immune systems and/or carry out dialysis during their stays.

About the Day
World Kidney Day is a global campaign aimed at raising awareness of the importance of our kidneys.
World Kidney Day comes back every year. All across the globe many hundred events take place from public screenings in Argentina to Zumba marathons in Malaysia. We do it all to create awareness.Awareness about preventive behaviors, awareness about risk factors, and awareness about how to live with a kidney disease. We do this because we want kidney health for all.
