All Welcome. Please do come and join us.
The group is open to all patients, their families, friends & carers, known to EKHUFT Renal Services.
It is an opportunity for individuals to have a voice, be able to share experiences in a safe environment and build a network of support.
Hear what members have to say...
"these are very supportive events for patients & partners. Try attending just to see if it works for you"
"in the meetings you have a laugh, discuss various topics and learn new ideas"
"it helps you to make decisions about what treatment you will receive in the future with a positive attitude....Hearing from other people"
"when I leave meetings I feel very positive as it is easy to forget that there is always help available for whatever problem you may encounter on your journey"
"talking to people with the same thing really helps"
We could be biased, but I think our 1st Quiz Night was a success. People laughed, cheered, and shared about their journeys during this difficult time. We received a message from one of the attendees straight after saying it was just what they needed after having such a low day on their own.
We had 14 people in total, as some had partners joining us too, which was great! Joanna and her husband David were the champions of the night and their prize will be sent in the post . . .
How about a fancy dress theme for the next one?! Lu

Although the Government message has changed:
#StayAlert #ControlTheVirus #SaveLives
it is still vitally important that we adhere to the Social Distancing protocols: Maintain the 2m Rule, continue to wash our hands often & when we get home, avoid touching our faces & catch coughs & sneezes in a tissue & discard immediately.
World Kidney Day is a global campaign aimed at raising awareness of the importance of our kidneys.
World Kidney Day comes back every year. All across the globe many hundred events take place from public screenings in Argentina to Zumba marathons in Malaysia. We do it all to create awareness.Awareness about preventive behaviors, awareness about risk factors, and awareness about how to live with a kidney disease. We do this because we want kidney health for all.
