Visiting EKHUFT Hospitals
Visiting is suspended with immediate effect and until further notice.
The only exceptional circumstances where ONE visitor – an immediate family member or carer – will be permitted to visit are listed below.
• The patient you wish to visit is receiving end-of-life care.
• You are the birthing partner accompanying a woman in labour.
• You are a parent or appropriate adult visiting your child.
Visitors are being advised to contact the ward or department in advance to discuss appropriate arrangements. Further details and guidance can be found on the website. Click on the logo below . . .
All Outpatient Clinics will continue to run at all Units offering either a fact to face or telephone consultation.
You will be contacted by the Renal Secretaries prior to your appointment to confirm which is preferred.
Nurse led Clinics offering treatments such as Intravenous Iron and Hepatitis B Vaccinations will continue at all Units.
All elective surgery including vascular access surgery wil be postponed from 15 April 2020
The Living Donor Transplant Service is currently on hold until further notice.
Any elective transplants will be cancelled from Friday 20th March 2020.
The Deceased Donor programme will continue to run.
This will continue as usual
